Acrylic-Polyethylene Graft Copolymers

Interpolymer's All Acrylic-Polyethylene Graft Copolymers Currently Include:

Acrylic-Polyethlyene graft copolymers are the melding of two distinct polymer technologies: polyethylene for its wax-like properties and acrylics for improved compatibility with the rest of the floor finish. By grafting the acrylic onto the polyethylene backbone, the polymer has excellent compatibility with the other acrylic components in the floor finish – the graft copolymer cannot readily dissociate. Moreover, the polyethylene chains do not end only at the top of the coating, like conventional waxes do; instead, they are distributed more evenly throughout that layer. The net result is a floor finish that maintains its surface properties as it wears away.
