SYNTRAN
5904
is a styrene/acrylic emulsion which is designed to modify the visual appearance of personal care products such as liquid shampoos, bath and shower products, and liquid hand soaps, from clear to opaque without affecting the other desired properties.
SYNTRAN
opacifiers improve brightness and whiteness, can be used at significantly lower levels, and have excellent formulation stability.

SYNTRAN 5904
should preferably be added at the end of the manufacturing cycle just after final adjustment. To prevent potential shock, the product can be pre-diluted with soft or de-ionized water at a range of 1 part opacifier to 3-4 parts water prior use. The addition of an opacifier to the base product would need to be done very slowly and with thorough agitation.
Storage
SYNTRAN 5904
is not freeze-thaw stable and should therefore be kept at temperature of 5° C to 35° C.
SYNTRAN 5904
is very stable in original containers and storage tanks at ambient temperature for at least 6 months. Open containers should be checked on a regular basis for, and protected against, bio-contamination, if necessary.
If

is stored in a diluted form, a preservative is required.
